Ethics in Psychological Assessments Paper

Welcome to Week IV, where we delve into the critical aspects of ethics in psychological assessments. This section showcases key artifacts and reflections on the importance of flexibility in this crucial area of counseling.

Growth in Flexibility

The journey through the process of becoming a clinical mental health professional has been one of challenges and change. It has required that I embrace new techniques learn differing approaches and seek the support of peers who show promise in becoming great mental health professionals. I have always been the type of person who is willing to try new approaches however I have been stretched a now realize growth and change have become the norm.

Reflections on Flexibility

Flexibility in counseling has to do with the counselor's ability to pivot and change when they see change is needed. The counselor needs to be able to embrace  ambiguity, modifying treatment plans and approaches to meet the needs of the client based on their unique needs. The counselor also needs to be aware of the multicultural need the clients they are supporting.

The importance of being flexible over being strong, Flexibility allows trees to bent in the gale forces of a hurricane and therefore the flexible tree survives
